And the winner is........... MAMMA!!

My first try on Pajamas. I thought I did so good for winging it without a pattern but opps the shirt didnt quite fit.

I am swimming with bandanas for some super cute sewing projects I am working on. The kids dressed Zane up with some I had layin around.

I won!!! 2/4 kids said my name first. I have to admit I have been working on him for months but yes... success is mine. Life continues to fly and Zane is eight months old. He still is not crawling he has started to scoot on his back for things but is content to get carried around and his brother and sisters come to him to play and talk constantly so why bother right. I am trying to remember to enjoy this time with my last little baby and it continues to be so special to me. I wish I remembered to enjoy the other ones this much. You know before they knew how to talk back.

The patient

Jake got his surgery two weeks ago and I am for sure the better patient between us too. He was sick from all the meds and is feeling better now. Grandma Owens came and got the kids for a summer time break with her so we went up to go pick them up and ended up clear in Idaho at my dads. We got to enjoy the weather and SNOW CONES!!!! yum. I only took three pictures the whole time but it was fun. We also got to go to Luke's blessing and I learned how to make sock monkeys... so exciting. ANd now We are all home with a sick with a cold just in time for school to start.

"TUB" for one

Zane is seven months and has gotten so active all of a sudden. Grabbing and reaching for everything. I was feeding him in the kitchen and he had made a MESS eating and I a thought and stuck him in the kitchen sink. PERFECT fit and it doesnt even hurt your back to lean over. Who needs a baby bath tub not me. Of course I now have to keep my sinks super clean.. Last night I was getting the kids ready their baths and Zane was the only one that I had to bathe...awhh so nice. (Bailey washed Jenny's hair for me while they were in the bath together.) Not too bad either.

Just a nibble,gotcha and random

LOOK she's holding him and smiling.... I told her I would get her a popcicle if she would hold Zane for me so yes... techically I tricked her but it worked.

Bailey is such a good helper and such a mini mom and Zane loves her.

Green Arizona

Jenny caught the only fish which was tiny.
Jake helped her hold it so it looked bigger in the picture.

Josh wanted to carry Zane but only lasted about 2 minutes and was ready to trade. Bailey and Jenny on the porch of our cabin.

Josh watching Zane for me while I made dinner.

I thought it was cute because it looked like they

were both reading the magazine.

Zane watching kids fish.

Bailey caught a lizard

We found a camping spot in Arizona that is so pretty and green. Bad news it is 4 hours away but the good news is that it exists. We rented a cabin up in Greer, Arizona this last week. We rode up in the mountains and trees and went fishing at some lakes in the area. Jake is scheduled for surgery on his shoulder on the 24th of this month so he wanted to get in some play time before he is in recovery mode for a while. We had a lot of fun enjoying nature and being where it wasnt so hot. I bet it was still 70-80 degrees but all my kids still wore their sweatshirts... yes, they now think that 80 degrees is a little chilly.

Zane SIX MONTHS old

Zane is now in 12-18 month clothing and I opened the box of clothes that I have been buying and putting away for him to grow into and I found this... I bought the same outfit TWICE in the same size . I am losing it or I guess I really like dinos

My baby is six months old. Man, I wish the pregnancy when this fast.... Zane is still healthy and hasn't had any ill effects from being in the hospital and everytime we go to the doctor he is impressed of how clear his lungs sound. We were truely blessed to have had him recover as well as he has. He has grown and always seems to get comments about what a chunk he is. He is sitting up by himself and has 5 teeth and two more that are almost through. Jenny is getting a little friendly-er with him. She will talk to him and make faces at him when he needs to be entertained while I am doing something but ONLY if Josh and Bailey are busy or gone. She would rather watch them play with Zane and stay in the back ground. Jake and I always have had a competion to see if the baby says mom or dad first... but this time the kids have joined the race.

Big Brother Josh

I woke up a few weeks ago and came out out my bedroom and was headed towards the boys room to check on the baby when I saw this in the living room. I paused and said"What the heck Josh what are you doing." He simply answered "Watching cartoons with my little brother." It was a cute moment but then I relized that he had somehow gotten Zane out of the crib and carried him into the living room so I said" Josh, you have to be careful... what if you dropped him." Josh looked up from the cartoons and said" I would cry FOREVER!! "

Josh is such a caring big brother I love it and I hope that he remembers how much he loves his brother when he is a teenager and Zane is an annoying little brother.
